John joined DOW Technologies in 2008 after graduating with a master’s degree from the University of Florida. Beginning his career at DOW in outside sales, John has held various positions at the company in sales, marketing, purchasing, and business development management.
In 2013, with the hard work and support of his management team, John successfully led the transition of DOW from a single sales channel satellite television distributor to an industry leading distributor of custom integration, 12Volt, and satellite television products. The transition involved the acquisition of Shifting Sands Stereo Distributing to immediately bolster the CI pillar and a strategic, ground up effort to build out the 12Volt pillar.
Continuing DOW’s expansion and diversification, John and his team successfully completed four more strategic acquisitions. In 2015, DOW acquired Eagle Distributors, giving the company a firm distribution footprint in the western portion of its territory and providing a conduit to enter the growing Texas marketplace. In 2016, DOW acquired DB South to further cement its position in the 12Volt industry. DOW expanded into the Metro New York and Mid-Atlantic markets in 2019 with the acquisition of Bach Distribution. In December 2020, DOW acquired Audio Video Warehouse, expanding its distribution territory into the Southwest. DOW further strengthened their position in the Mid-Atlantic market with the acquisition of Tech Source Distributors in March 2022.
John is inspired and driven by changes in technology and the opportunities those changes provide a company. John views DOW’s employees and customers as family, and he appreciates the fact that every day, DOW Technologies has the opportunity to better the lives of its employees and customers.
Prior to joining the DOW Technologies team in 2006, Dan worked in the environmental remediation industry, moving from construction site accounting to working with private equity firms on the corporate finances.
Currently at DOW as CFO, Dan directs all financial aspects of the organization including banking, asset management, and financial reporting, while also managing the information technology department. He is driven by the challenges of DOW’s constantly evolving marketplace and working with the company’s leadership team to provide our customers and company mutual growth opportunities.
Dan earned his Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Florida and his Masters of Business Administration from the University of Tampa. On the weekends Dan can be found around the pitch doing two of his favorite things: watching his kids play soccer and recalling his short lived glory days.
Steve joined DOW in June 2003 after 15 years in private practice as a corporate litigation attorney in Tampa. At DOW, Steve heads up the Legal Department, Human Resources, Retail Services & Credit, and Distribution Center Operations.
As general counsel, Steve works closely with a strong team of vice presidents and directors from each of the business areas he manages. He’s responsible for all internal and external legal matters, and together with his teams, they provide a solid professional, business foundation for DOW employees, vendors, and customers.
On a personal note, Steve enjoys golfing, boating, fishing, and college football. As a college football fan, he closely follows his alma mater, the University of Florida Gators, and the rest of the SEC. When he’s not fishing off his boat or playing a round of golf, Steve enjoys grilling and winding down with a nice glass of wine.
Dave joined DOW in 1995 as an inside sales person and throughout his career, he has continued to grow his skill set and responsibility with the company. In 1998, Dave launched DOW’s original commercial satellite sales group and quickly built a sales team to support commercial DISH Network installations. Along the way, Dave’s been a part of several SBCA development groups and assisted in the original launch of the National Standards and Testing Program for Satellite Installers.
Dave’s role expanded from sales management to his current position managing the sales, marketing & purchasing teams. As part of DOW’s executive team, Dave has assisted in developing the roadmap for DOW’s expansion into new sales pillars that were synergistic and complimentary to DOW’s core strengths as a distribution company. He is very dedicated to DOW’s core mission and customers, while possessing a clear vision of DOW’s future.
Dave is a self-defined ‘gadget guy’ and loves to get hands-on with the latest products and technologies. Whether it’s Satellite, Smart Home, Custom Integration, Consumer Electronics or 12Volt Automotive & Marine products, he stays up-to-date and hands-on with all of them.
Joining DOW Technologies in 2012, Jay has overseen the growth and change of the marketing department. The marketing department has evolved to meet the needs of the new business areas DOW expanded into during this time, including launching updated ecommerce websites. Jay enjoys working with his team to design marketing materials for DOW’s customers, making sure dealers get professional designs to help their businesses.
Away from DOW, Jay can be found playing with or coaching his kids in their latest adventures. When he can get away, Jay enjoys traveling and camping in the Airstream where he and the family avoid alligators and overly-friendly raccoons.
Tim joined DOW Technologies in February of 2006, and in his time with the company, he has worked in Inventory Control, Accounting, and is now the Director of Operations. As someone who genuinely enjoys supply chain management and business analytics, Tim contributes a lot to DOW.
On the weekends, Tim can often be found floating on water, be it on a boat, his kayak or in his pool. While on the water, Tim is often fishing, though not likely in his pool. And when you can get him away from the water, he enjoys cooking, grilling, and also traveling.
Drew has been with DOW Technologies since January of 2009, starting as a Branch Manager and working his way up to Director of Sales. Drew has helped foster and usher in new skills and product knowledge to the sales teams, assisting DOW in targeting new areas of business.
A UCF graduate and a Peace & Quiet connoisseur, Drew loves being involved in technology and helping small business owners grow their business.
Somsri has been with DOW Technologies since May of 1994, and usually we’d list some of the positions she’s had*, but I think the better question in this bio is…what positions hasn’t she had? Somsri’s contributions have resulted in her growing roles at DOW, working in nearly every department at one point. One of her major contributions was improving the cost and efficiency of the 12 Volt and Satellite lines of the business. In all these years at DOW, one thing she can say is that there’s never a dull moment, “It’s not your typical office environment because everyone here is relaxed and friendly, and we’re always having fun.”
In her spare time, Somsri loves watching the The Food Network Channel and then going to the different eateries featured on the shows.

Josie joined DOW in 2014, utilizing her background in education and training to create an onboarding training program for new and existing retailers. Her depth of knowledge of the programs and products resulted in her promotion to Strategic Sales Manager of our satellite team. In her new position, Josie was integral in launching the DOW Experience Events across DOW’s territory. As a prior small business owner in Puerto Rico, it’s no surprise that her passion lies in helping small business owners and their sales people learn about products, services, and business rules.
